"We were treated to a wonderful and interesting ramble, with a very kind guide (the chap wearing a tartan tam, whose name sadly escapes me.).  He is an asset to you business and the city as a tourist location, AND! the hat was so distictive. You ought to encourage your other guides to choose likewise interesting headgear. The hat prompted a great long discussion of many aspects of the population of Victoria, particularly the Scots. Thanks for a super tour. This is my 3rd visit to Victoria, but my first harbour tour. I will definitely visit Victoria again, and will certainly take my grandaughter on the harbour ferry."

High Tea with British charm High Tea

It was Anne, Duchess of Bedford, who is credited with the creation of what we now consider afternoon tea. One day she decided she was hungry enough that the thought of waiting for her husband’s return from hunting for dinner was out of the question so she had some bread and butter sent up by the servants. She enjoyed the light snack immensely, and so she shared the idea with friends. The light afternoon snack gradually evolved into a light meal consisting of pastries, cakes and tea. This was the beginning of the afternoon tea tradition.

Most famous is the High Tea served at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. If you prefer a more private but equally charming location with a great view of Victoria's inner harbour, we suggest you have High Tea at the Gatsby Mansion.
